Inclusive education classes
Our inclusive education classes for students with disabilities comprise of three K-6 Multicategorical classes, fondly named The Learning Cove.
Inclusion is embedded in all aspects of school life, and is supported by culture, policies and everyday practices. Inclusion means educational environments that adapt the design and physical structures, teaching methods, and curriculum as well as the culture, policy and practice of education environments so that they are accessible to all students without discrimination.
You cannot enrol your child directly into an inclusive education class but we can help you with this process. The first step is to speak with us.
We will work with you to determine if your child is eligible and if this type of support will meet their needs.
This option is available when:
- Your child has significant support needs and meets the department's disability criteria.
- This type of specialist support will meet their educational needs.
- An application is completed in collaboration with you. This is usually arranged by the Learning and Support Team.
